Automation disclosure
Last updated 29 August 2026
Remote Job Hunter applies for jobs on your behalf using software. This page says exactly what that software does, what it will not do, and where it stops and asks you. If anything here is not acceptable to you, do not enable Autopilot.
What acts on your behalf
An automated agent searches job sources, scores postings against the rules you set, drafts application documents, fills in employer application forms through an automated browser, and — where you have connected an email account and a legitimate professional contact can be identified — sends outreach email from your address.
Applications and emails are attributed to you, not to us. You are the applicant. We act as your agent, within the operating mode and rules you configure.
We do not invent anything about you
The agent may only use facts you have given us or confirmed after importing them from your resume. It does not create qualifications, experience, certifications, education, job titles, salary history, dates or metrics. Where an application asks for something we do not have, the application is held in Action required and you are asked, rather than an answer being produced.
We do not defeat security controls
If an employer site presents a CAPTCHA, multi-factor authentication, an identity check or another anti-automation measure, the agent stops and hands the application back to you. We do not attempt to bypass, solve or evade these systems. Some employers do not permit automated applications at all; where that is stated, the application is not submitted.
Where automation stops and you take over
- A CAPTCHA, MFA prompt, identity or security check.
- A login the employer requires you to create and verify yourself.
- A screening question we hold no verified answer for.
- A salary expectation or work authorization question outside what you configured.
- An application error, or any case where submission cannot be confirmed.
Submission is only ever claimed when confirmed
An application is reported as submitted only when the employer’s own site confirmed it — a confirmation page, confirmation message or equivalent evidence, which we store against the application. A pressed button is not a submission. If we cannot confirm, the application is marked as needing attention and no application credit is consumed.
Outreach is sent only to a professional contact we have identified with reasonable confidence, and never more than once to the same contact for the same position. Follow-ups are limited and stop automatically. We do not guess at address patterns and send to them without telling you the address is unverified.
What we cannot promise
- We cannot guarantee interviews, responses or employment.
- Postings close, and a job found today may be gone before an application lands.
- Some employer systems cannot be completed by software at all.
- Fit scoring is an estimate produced by a model, not a hiring decision.
Your controls
Operating mode, fit threshold, salary floor, excluded companies and every other rule are yours to set and change at any time in your job rules. Autopilot is off unless you deliberately turn it on, and turning it off stops new automated activity immediately.
